Infectious Diseases Unit. Vita-Salute San Raffaele University. Milan, Italy
I am Chiara Maci, a resident in Infectious Diseases at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University (Milan, Italy), with a strong passion for opportunistic infections in people with HIV (PWH). My interests also include antimicrobial stewardship and non-traditional antibacterial therapies, particularly bacteriophage therapy. I recently completed a training experience in Lyon, focusing on bone infections. I presented this clinical case at EACS 2023, which was subsequently published in Microorganisms, accompanied by a brief review on malignant syphilis. I have also participated in several Italian and international congresses, as a presenting author. I am currently following the STI outpatient clinic and several HIV outpatient clinics.
